Hi there. I’m a graphic designer born and raised in Detroit. My surname and I are of Finnish origin (pronounced PAH-vō-luh).
I’m a writer of fiction and non, and I enjoy creating illustrations for my online stores at Redbubble and TeePublic.
I’m a fan of music, books, art, the Detroit Red Wings, Jeeps, gaming, documentaries, anime, left-handed products, Oxford commas, and animals–my own dog and cat in particular.

Agency founder Jill began her career in Los Angeles as both a designer and web developer. Her ability to combine the analytical with the emotional is the hallmark of the agency that bears her name.
Our inclusive team of engineers, UX strategists, product designers, web designers, motion designers, 3D artists, and digital producers carry this vision forward — leading to deep audience engagement and powerful client relationships.
We are a diverse, tight-knit team based in Los Angeles with a global presence. We’re female-owned and 50 percent minority-led. We know this makes us unique-and that these differences make us sharper.
We bring stories to life through tech and design, and our passion for growth means we’re always learning. No other boutique digital agency brings together research, innovation, and art like we do.
It all began with a quilt.
JIPA began in 2001 when our founder was gifted a colorful quilt and wanted wall art to match, so she created some animal illustrations.
We’ve since branched out into a group of strategists, creators, perfectionists, and storytellers.
And whether we’re working on brand identity, print design, or website development, we put our hearts and souls into everything we do.
